Three Tihar inmates attend civil service exam

New Delhi: Three inmates of Delhi Tihar jail including a murder convict have attended the preliminary examinations of Indian Civil Services that held on June 12th.
The three are Siddharth Singh Sidar from Chhattisgarh, an IIT Kharagpur alumnus jailed for cheating, Amit Jha from Bihar, charged with kidnapping, and Sandeep of Uttar Pradesh, who is serving life imprisonment for murder.
An official of the Jail told, "All three are preparing really hard. With no coaching centres, they are following the self-study method and appeared for the civil services preliminary examinations June 12. Two are under trial and one is a convict. We are extending all possible help as far as study materials are concerned".
