Rubbercon 2015, an International Rubber Conference with the theme Shaping the Future through Innovative Technology is being organized by Indian Rubber Institute (IRI) at Hotel ITC Grand Chola, Chennai from 1 - 3 March, 2016. This is the official designated conference of the International Rubber Conference Organization (IRCO), London, UK.
Addressing the Media, Mr. P. K. Mohamed, Chief Convenor, Rubbercon said, Rubbercon 2015 was originally scheduled in the first week of December 2015, but because of the rains and floods, it was postponed to March 2016. The convention will be focused on new technology and will help all members to understand and take advantage from the expertise available from around the globe. The last conference held in Manchester, UK in 2014 was with the theme Advanced Engineering & Materials developments.
He further added, Rubbercon will be a summit of specialists in Rubber and Allied Industries, R&D organizations, Educational Institutions, Testing Laboratories, Product Testing Centers, Raw Material Manufacturers, Automobile Industries, Rubber growers and Students & Research scholars. The conference is divided into 4 sessions namely Business, Plenary, Technical and Educational Courses. More than 150 delegates from abroad are expected to attend this year`s meet.
One of the main aims of the conference is to educate and benefit the young professionals in small and medium scale rubber industry through the symposia. Also, experts in relevant fields will present papers on the latest developments in the Rubber Industry.
