Names removed from the electoral voters rolls to be published online

As per the orders of the Election Commission, the Greater Chennai Corporation has started an electoral roll purification drive, which will go on till 29 February.
In continuation with the final publication of electoral rolls, an updating exercise is under way.As part of the exercise, repeat or multiple entries or EPIC numbers and entries of deceased voters will be removed from the rolls.
De-duplication software developed by the commission will delete the repeat entries.
