Recent increase in road cave-ins: Experts feel better coordination can prevent it!

Especially from December following the rains, there has been increasing instances of roads caving in Chennai Metro City. The major point is supposed to be the faulty sewer pipes running underneath.
Uneven roads and manholes putting motorists and pedestrians in jeopardy are regular instances across the city. There have been far more occasions when roads are dug up. These are done to repair pipelines and remove illegal sewer lines.
Experts say most of these problems aggravate because of the poor coordination between Chennai Corporation and water and sewerage utility Metro water.(MWSSB). The customers experience is that both Chennai Corporation & MWSSB keep passing the issue to the other!
