RBI extends deadline

Reserve Bank of India has extended the deadline for exchanging Rupee notes printed before the year 2005. In a report issued about this, the Reserve Bank has mentioned that the deadline is extended up to 30th June.
All the currency notes printed after 2005 carry extra features that help easy identification of fake notes. Hence, all notes printed before this year are being taken back by the Reserve Bank.
