Efforts are being made to re-open the schools on 14th

In a statement issued by Director of School Education S. Kannappan it has been mentioned, 

due to heavy rains, the schools in Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kancheepuram and  Cuddalore districts have been closed. Since it has been decided to open the schools on 14th, District Education Officers have been requested to send circulars to all the headmasters requesting them to clean the schools and also check every aspect. All the headmasters after they are satisfied should give the no objection certificate to open the schools. District Education Officers should collect these letters and send it to Director of School Education.
