Women can Elevate Indian Economy to Great Levels, McKinsey Reports

McKinsey Global Institute, in its report, has stated that the Indian economy will see fast and incredible growth if women in the country get equal opportunities like men.
The report adds that the growth will be of the range 11.4% if there is significant women empowerment. If it happens so, Indian economy will see growth by Rs 46 lakh crore.
As of now, the contribution of women in Indian economy is just 17 percent. Comparing this with other countries, the part played by women in India is far lesser.
