Special trains between Chennai and Tirunelveli

Suvidha trains will operate between Chennai - Tirunelveli and Chennai - Ernakulam. The announcement was made by Southern Railways. The new schedules are meant to take care of extra rush. Reservations for the trains can be made from Nov. 3 onwards.
Train No. 00627, the Suvidha special train running between Chennai Egmore and Tirunelveli, will leave Chennai on Nov. 20 at 9.05 pm. It will reach Tirunelveli on Nov. 21 at 10.45 am. One AC 2 tier coach, two AC 3 tier coach, 12 sleeper class coaches and 2 luggage cum brake van coaches will make up the train. It will stop at Tambaram, Changalpet, Villupuram, Vridhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli, Dindigul, Kodai Road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti and Vanchi Maniyachchi. On its way back, the train will have one AC 2 tier coach, 2 AC 3 tier coaches and 12 sleeper class coaches. It will leave Tirunelveli on Nov. 15 and 22 at 2.45 pm and arrive at Chennai Egmore at 4.20 pm on Nov. 16 and 23 respectively. Stops on this trip will be at Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Satttur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Kodai among other places.
Train no. 00626, Suvidha special train between Ernakulam Jn. and Chennai Central will leave Ernakulam at 11.30 pm on Nov. 15 and 22. The train will consist of one AC 2 tier coach, 2 AC 3 tier coaches, 12 sleeper class coaches and 2 luggage cum brake van coaches. Stops will be at Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Erode and Katpadi.
