Power cut on 28th and 29th likely due to North East Monsoon rains

Since the North East Monsoon is intensifying, there are likely to be power cuts in some places of Chennai on 28th and 29th. TANGEDCO in a press release has mentioned that heavy rains are expected on 28th and 29th due to intensification of North East Monsoon. These cuts are made for the safety of people. The general public should inform uprooted electric poles and snapped live wires due to heavy winds and rainfall to the following helpline numbers:
