Experts announce 2015 as the hottest year ever

Posted on: 23/Oct/2015 12:59:56 PM
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has said that the year 2015 will be the hottest year in recorded history. The Administration is an American agency that tracks temperatures worldwide.

The agency has announced that the time from January to September this year has been hotter than any other year since 1880. The increase in temperature denounces declaration by governments that claim that global warming has stopped. A global climate conference scheduled in Paris during December this year will need to discuss how to limit future emissions and slow the temperature increase worldwide.

According to climate experts, `The bottom line is that the world is warming. We`re seeing it all across the Indian Ocean, in huge parts of the Atlantic Ocean, in parts of the Arctic oceans. It`s just incredible to me. I`ve never seen anything like this before.`

The growing temperatures have contributed to dry weather and forest fires in Indonesia, severe drought in Australia, food crisis in Africa, among many other disasters. Experts expect large amounts of rain and snow to the Southwest of USA. A heat wave earlier this year skilled many people in India and Pakistan.

A scientist from the Lamont - Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University in New York says, The warning is out. The world has had time to plan for this.

We have no reason at this point to think that El Nino itself is responding to the forcing from greenhouse gases. You can think of them as independent and adding to each other.` El Nino weather pattern is one of the major contributors to the high temperatures.
