New MTS data subscribers to have insurance cover

Rs. 1 lakh accidental insurance will be provided by MTS for its new data subscribers. MTS, represented by Sistema Shyam Teleservices, has been in discussion with Oriental Insurance for the same. According to a source, Both MTS and Oriental Insurance have firmed up this deal and will be made operational any time this week... Insurance policy will become active within seven working days from the date of activation of MTS data dongle and will be valid for one year.
According to the source, those who buy the MTS wireless Internet dongle will be eligible for insurance cover of Rs. 1,299 and Rs. 1,499. There will be no additional cost for the service. The initiative will be introduced in all of MTS�s since circles - Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, UP West, Kolkata and West Bengal. However, no official communication from either of the parties informed has been released.
