TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) conducted the selection examination for the post of maternity (mother-child) welfare officers on Sunday, 20th September.
For the vacancy of 29 posts of the above category, 12140 candidates had applied.
The examination was conducted at 3 centres in Chennai, Madurai, and Coimbatore with strict invigilation and monitoring.
In Chennai, the examination was conducted in 21 places in the city including Egmore Government Girls High School.
TNPSC Chairman Mr. Balasubramanian and Examination Control Officer Ms. Shobhana visited the examination spots and inspected. They visited the state Girls high school at Egmore and checked the security arrangements.
After this, TNPSC Chairman Mr. Balasubramanian informed that some new procedures are being introduced to quicken the time take to announce the results of various examinations by compiling all data about the examinations and certificates required in a single page in the internet. This self-explanatory website will be activated next month.
All candidates undertaking to write the examinations and those who had written examinations recently will have to follow the new procedure.
Candidates can send all attachments like certificates through the internet. This will enable faster checking of the verifications of the certificates and other documents.
Other useful details like how many times a particular candidate had availed the concession on examination fee, etc can be easily seen in the new set-up.
The key answers for the examinations for maternity welfare officers will be released during this week,. The results of the examinations will be announced in 2 months.
