EPFO launches mobile app and missed call service to assess the account

With a view to making it easier for 3.54 crore subscribers, 49.22 lakh pensioners and 6.1 lakh employers, the EPFO has launched a mobile app along with two other services – SMS-based Universal Account Number Activation and a Missed Call service. Subscribers will now be able to access their fund information, track their contributions and pension disbursement details with these services.
Member can download the app from the EPFO website and activate their UAN accounts from their mobile phones to access services. For those without app-supported phones, the SMS service performs a similar function which is activated by sending an SMS to 7738299899. Alternatively they can missed call 011 22901406.
