Anna University organizes free skill training for engineering students in final year

Ann University has scheduled to organize a free `Skills Training` course for the engineering students in their final year in 2016 studying in all member colleges and affiliated colleges under its domain.

University-industry centre of Anna University and a private sector company `Ronald Nissan Technology Centre` are jointly organizing this training programme.

A press release by Anna University about this:

`Vision Tamil Nadu 2023` Plan has attracted the attention of many multi-national automobile corporations. Many companies have invested in Tamil Nadu.

This has increased the demand for skilled and trained persons. Considering this aspect, Anna University has joined with Ronald Nissan technology Centre to introduce this free skill training programme.

Engineering students of all member colleges & affiliated colleges under Anna University who are completing their course in 2016 in the faculties of Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Manufacturing, and metallurgy will be given this special free training programme.

The training will be conducted in 3 regions – Chennai, Madurai, and Coimbatore – with duration of 10 days will be given to 200 students in each region above for a total of 600 students.

Apart from this, Ronald Nissan Technology Centre will offer scholarships 60 students (40 female students & 20 male students) with excellence in Academic performance under the Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme.

Anna University has also announced another special skill development training programme for 60 final year students in 4 faculties with the best academic performance.
