Prospects of rain with thunder in Southern Tamil Nadu

Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there would be rains with thunder in Southern part of Tamil Nadu for the next 3 days.
It has been raining due to the formation of thermal convection in the upper layers of atmosphere. It has rained 223.4 mm so far in Tamil Nadu. This is 9% less than the average rainfall recorded.
It has been announced that there will be rains with thunder for 3 days especially in South Tamil Nadu. It is also informed that there might be rains in a few places throughout Tamil Nadu in the next 2 days.
Chennai will be cloudy. There are prospects of rains in a few places in the city.
