Highlights of Global Investors Meet

Until now, the investors themselves approached the state government of Tamil Nadu and sought the contracts. Now, for the first time ever, Global Inventors Meet is being organised in Tamil Nadu.
Chief Minister Jayalalithaa will preside over the opening ceremony and also will inaugurate the exhibition and major industrial projects and will address the gathering.
It is gathered that industrial investors from several countries are eager to invest in Tamil Nadu and it is expected that investments on opening new micro & mini-level industries in various districts in Tamil Nadu will be increased.
Several seminars are being organised explaining the simple procedures to invest and start an industry in the state of Tamil Nadu, the availability of renewable & recyclable energy sources investment opportunities and tax structure and the infrastructure in several spheres of industry including automobiles and Information Technology.
Over 2000 investors from several countries including Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Britain are participating. Apart from this, thousands of investors from other states and Tamil Nadu are also participating.
Information is gathered maximum investors have arrived from Korea.
The Global Investors Meet is expected to bring in investments for a wide range of industries including Textiles & ready-mades, manufacture of medicines, biotechnology, agriculture and agriculture related equipment, automobiles and their spares, aerospace, renewable energy, chemistry, petroleum and heavy industry related to ores and minerals, skill development, information technology, and electronic products.
Tamil Nadu, other states, and several other countries are displaying their products and wares in the exhibition open during the meet.
Tomorrow (Thursday, 10th September) being the second day, seminars are organised in the morning sessions.
Closing session is scheduled at 4.00 PM.
Chief Minister Jayalalithaa will participate and make an announcement regarding the new investment details.
Over 1 Lakh Crores investments are expected through this Global Investors Meet.
CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) at National level and Indian Trade & Commerce Committee is a major participant.
