An updated version of Hayate bike by Suzuki Motorcycle was recently launched. The company introduced the refreshed Hayate ahead of the festive season, which is the best time to launch any new or updated model. Powering the Suzuki Hayate is a 112.8cc single-cylinder motor that is capable of producing a top power output of 8.3bhp and a peak torque of 8.8Nm. Paired to a four-speed gearbox, the bike is claimed to return 69kmpl of mileage.The motorcycle is offered with an electric starting system and the regular kick-start mechanism. Suzuki has included a maintenance-free battery on the refreshed bike. Fairly lightweight, the Hayate weighs just 114kg and comes with a 10.5-litre fuel tank.
A set of telescopic forks are provided up front and the dual shocks at rear are now five-step adjustable. Both the alloy wheels are equipped with drum brakes. Suzuki now provides tubeless tyres on the Hayate too. The Suzuki Hayate costs Rs 49,683 and is available with new graphic schemes in red, grey, white and two shades of black.
