Savings scheme for male babies by Indian Post (Selvamagan Scheme)

Following the huge success of Selvamagal Semmippu Thittam, here is a new savings scheme for boy babies by the Indian Postal Department. In a report issued for the same, it was stated that there was excellent response for Selvamagal Semippu Thittam. Nearly 10,60,000 accounts are opened under this. There have been requests for creating such a scheme for male babies as well. Considering these requests, a new scheme is likely to be announced. For investments made under this scheme, a tax exemption will be provide to the people under 80C section.
