Google has introduced a new logo. The move comes in the wake of a number of changes that the company has been making over the past few months.
In the past, Google was a single platform that was a search engine. It gained popularity rapidly overtaking search engines such as Yahoo! and Excite. Now Google has products that can be used across different platforms, apps and devices.
Google’s logo, which was first designed for a desktop browser, is now updated to meet the needs and bring out the essence of this multi faceted company. The branding and logo responds to a wide variety of devices and also a variety of inputs like tap, type and talk.
The Google mic, that is next to the search box, is now colorful and will help the user identify and interact with the platform through talk, tap and type. The traditional blue ‘g’ that has been used to identify with the brand is now a four color ‘G’. This matches with the new logo.
