People of all kinds – rich and poor are benefitted by the internet. The latest of it is the farmers in India. Farmers will now be able to sell all their produce such as paddy, pulses, cotton, etc through Indian postal department. They do not even have to spend even a single buck towards transportation.

A pilot program for the same will be launched for this novel plan by the postal department. This will be of help for the farmers to sell their produce online. Depending on the results of this pilot project, necessary steps will be taken to extend the service across the country.
Indian post will act as a facilitator to all the farmers and this new service will be launched mainly in two locations. Speaking about this, the chief postmaster general of the circle BV Sudhakar said this project will be started in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in another few weeks.

This project is beneficial in two ways. In one way, this service will bring together the entire network of postal department and all its employees using the advent of emails, mobile phones, chats, etc in delivering letters, and on the other hand, farmers will be enabled to sell their products to their traders with ease.

This service will be available for free for the farmers. And the buyers are bound to make use of Indian post for transporting the commodity to the required destination. It seems Telengana is focused on Modi`s digital India campaign. This move by the government is worth it, of course. Government targets at making at least one person per family computer literate. This project will be very vital in executing the Digital Telengana Project.
