Yet another mobile network giant is stepping into 4G services. Vodafone is at the verge of rolling out its 4G network services by the end of this year, said Ishmeet Singh, the head of Mumbai circle of the company.
In terms of revenue and subscribers in five main circles including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Karnataka and Kerala, Vodafone stands high as the second largest telecom operator in India. The network got its 4G spectrum earlier in February this year. This 4G service is of 5 MHz or more in the 1,800 MHz band.
It is also to be noted that two other network giants Reliance Jio and Airtel are gearing up for providing 4G services too. While Reliance Jio has got pan India 4G spectrum that was received earlier this year, the No 1 telecom operator Airtel that stands as the first operator to provide 4G to the country announced about its extension of its 4G services to 296 more towns.
Furthermore, Vodafone has doubled its data benefits for all its 3G packs in Mumbai.
