24-hour helpline for fever set up

The Health Department will be introducing a system where the public will be informed about the fever which is prevailing now.
The State government has set up a 24-hour helpline where public can get information on swine flu and other fevers.
The helpline was announced following a meeting chaired by C. Vijayabaskar, Health Minister to review the measures taken to deal with H1N1 in the State. All government medical colleges and district hospitals have facilities to treat H1N1. The helpline numbers are 044-2435 0496 and 044-2433 4811.
