Flash files blocked on Firefox after security is compromised

Internet browser Mozilla Firefox has blocked versions of Adobe Flash on its browser. The move was made after serious security flaws were found. The announcement was made on Twitter by the Head of Firefox Support Mark Schmidt.
Hacking Team, a security firm, found that almost 400 GB of its internal documents and product source code were leaked. On investigation, it was found that three major Flash files were vulnerable. Mozilla has announced that the platform will remain blocked until Adobe releases a new version after it has tackled the security concerns. Adobe has said that it is aware of the problems and is working to resolve them.
Mozilla is also testing Shumway, an HTML5-based efficient renderer for the SWF format that is used with Flash files.
