CHENNAI DISTRICT IS 3 MILLION VOTERS STRONG

According to the final electoral roll for 2011, the Chennai district has a total of 30, 23,900 voters. There is an increase in voters by 3.16 per cent post the release of electoral roll in October.
There is an addition of new 92,697 voters as per a release from Corporation Commissioner and Chennai district electoral officer .The voters lis include 15, 14,037 men and 15,09,571 women and 292 are categorized as others. In Chennai, there are 3,225 polling booths.
Voters could check whether their names have been included from the list on display at the respective polling booths and Corporation zonal offices, the release said.
