28 special trains for Pongal: Southern Railway
The Southern Railway will operate 28 special trains to clear the extra rush during Pongal festival.
Briefing newspersons at a press conference here on Sunday, S Anantharaman, Divisional Railway Manager-Chennai, Southern Railway, said, 27 special trains were operated during the same festival season last year. �If demand was there we will introduce more trains depending on the availability of coaches.�
