So far, the practices has been that one can study MBBS only in medical colleges. Now, this trends has been broken for the first time in the country!
All of us are aware about the high quality of education on technology imparted in all The IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology).
Now, IIT Kharagpur is all set to introduce MBBS course.
IIT Kharagpur Director, Mr. Partha Pradeem Chakraparthy informed the press that a research institute for Science & research is being set up in an area of 3 acres. This will have the facility for 400 beds and would have a 1 acre hospital.The construction will be completed before end of 2017.
Further, proposals have been submitted to the India Medical Council to start teaching MBBS in this B C Roy educational institute, Once approval is given, students can join MBBS courses here.
He was proud to inform that IIT Kharagpur will be the proud first IIT to offer medical courses in the country.
B C Roy Medical College & Research Institute will offer medical services for the public while importance will be given to bio-medical research as well!
