Less number of BE applications received this year

The number of candidates applying for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA 2015), under the government quota in engineering colleges in the State, has gone down considerably.
The University has received 1,54,450 filled in forms this year as against over 1.71 lakh forms last year. University sources cite the delay in issue of forms as a reason for lower purchase this year. Normally, Anna University begins to issue forms several days ahead of class XII results. This year, forms sale began just a day ahead of results.
