Echo of service tax rise: A/C train fares to go up!

As the increased Service tax has become effective, the First-class & A/C train fares have gone up!
Currently, a service tax of 3.7% is levied on A/c & 1st Class train travel. From Monday, this rate is increased to 4.2%.
It has also been announced that the train fares will increase by the same 0.5% raise as now being imposed as service tax.
The rates of goods & freight will also increase as per the revised Service Tax.
