It has been decided to link Aadhar card number to Tirupathi Darshan tickets.
There was an earlier system whereby Tuesday was allocated to facilitate Darshan for the local residents of Tirupathi through a separate queue. However, this system was given up as crowd level mounted. Now, this is restricted to the first Tuesday of every month. Aadhar card number will be linked to Darshan ticket in this scheme.
The link of Aadhar cards with Darshan tickets is expected to prevent the same person coming back for 2nd or 3rd Darshans.
This scheme is proposed to be introduced gradually for other schemes also.
TTD has also decided to include the Darshan timings in the tickets. Currently, this is available in the Rs. 300/- special Darshan tickets.
Dharma Darisanam & Divya Darisanam schemes will also be brought under this new arrangement.
This will help reduce considerable long waiting hours and hardships faced in the long queue.
Also, the role of middlemen or brokers will be eliminated.
This facility will provide information like how long it will take for Darshan once joining the queue.
Data like how many devotees had darshan every hour can also be found.
90000 devotees had the darshan of the main deity (Moolavar) on last Saturday & Sunday.
With the proposed new system, it is expected that even more devotees can have Darshan on a single day!
