Google Transit makes commutation easier

Google Transit will now have the schedules of Indian Railways which will get featured on Google Maps. Further, according to a company release, it is said that the updated information on public transport for 8 major cities in India will also be made available on the app. Google Transit is Google Maps� feature which lets us enjoy effective planning of public transportation. This is available through Google Maps on any Android or iOS devices and desktop as well.
As of now, it contains information on 12000 trans and latest details on buses, metro routes from Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Pune, according to a recent statement. Speaking about this, the Google Maps director said Google Maps is very comprehensive and accurate and it is of help for millions of people across the world for making use of buses, trains, trams, etc.
He added that the addition of information about Indian Railways Schedules will be of great help for commuters in India. Google Maps has a huge collection of information of more than one million transit stops in over 2800 cities across the globe. It is to be noted that since 2005, Google has collaborated with hundreds of public transit agencies across the world to gather schedule information to all users of Google Maps.
