MORE FLYOVERS  ON LEVEL CROSSINGS IN CHENNAI.
Though late the state government has proposed ten more flyover and subways across major level crossing where traffic gets congested to the railways at a cost of about Rs 300 Crores. 

The projects if approved may take off  during 2011 � 2012.The proposed flyovers are between Thiruninravur and Veppampattu railway stations; a limited-use subway between Korukkupet and Washermanpet railway stations on Korukkupet-Bhojaraja Nagar main road (at a cost of Rs 17.78 crore); a flyover between Korukkupet and Vyasarpadi railway stations (Rs 29.26 crore); flyover between Korukkupet and Vysarpadi railway station (Rs 22.43 crore); a flyover between Nandiyambakkam and Minjur railway stations (Rs 25 crore); a flyover between Perungalathur and Vandalur railway stations; a flyover between Chengelpet and Ottivakkam railway stations on the Chengelpet old GST road and Thirukalivakkam Road (Rs 25 crore); a flyover between Padalam and Karunguzhi railway stations in Kinar-Keelavalam Road (Rs 25 crore); and a flyover near Kancheepuram railway station.
