Festival of Panguni Uthiram at Thiruchendur Temple on 3rd April!

The festival of �Panguni Uthiram� will be celebrated on 3rd April at the famous Thiruchendur Sri Subramanya Swamai Temple.
It has been a grand tradition over the past several years to celebrate the festival of �Panguni Uthiram� every year in this temple.
This year, the festival commences on 3rd April.
The temple corridors will be opened by early morning 4.00 AM.
�Viswaroopa Deeparadhanai� will be performed at 4.30 AM.
�Udhaya Marthanda Abhishekham� will be performed at 5.00 AM.
The deity of Subramanya Swami�s Consort, Sri Valli Amman, will be taken out at 5.30 AM.
Depparadhanai will be performed at 2.00 PM in the afternoon.
The main deity, Sri Subramanya Swami will be carried on Golden Peacock at 4.30 PM and taken to Temple Hall in the front of the temple. The `shoulder garland exchange� ceremony will be performed for Subramanya Swami & Valli Amman.
Then, Sri Subramanya Swami & Sri Valli Amman will be taken on a procession on the streets and reach the temple.
During the night, divine marriage will be performed for the 2 deities in front of the �108 Mahadevar Sannadhi�.
Thiruchendur Subramanya Swami temple has an addition subsidiary temple on top of the �Naalumoolaikkinaru� mountain �Melayyan Sastha Temple� where the festival of Panguni Uthiram will be celebrated on the same day.
