The Supreme Court of India cleared the all doubts about the importance of Aadhar card. Supreme Court confirmed yesterday that the Aadhar card is not mandatory and no person should be denied any benefits for not having the Aadhar card.
A Bench of Justices J. Chelameswar, S.A. Bobde and C. Nagappan asked the Centre and State Governments to follow its 2013 order on the issue. In October 2013, the Supreme Court refused to make Aadhar card compulsory for availing social benefits, turning down Centre`s request on the issue.
