Indian Medical research Council (IMRC) has explained that there is no possibility for any physical harm by using cell-phones.
Over the last 2 decades, cell-phone has gained gradual ascendancy as the most indispensable personal possession.
But there is a general belief that using cell-phone may cause some physical harm. The reason cited is the radiation from the cell-phone which may cause harm.
Indian Medical Research Council and the Department of Information Technology jointly conducted a research on the likely harms created by cell-phones and cell-phone towers.
At the conclusion of the research, IMRC has confirmed that there is no conclusive proof/evidence that usage of cell-phones and the cell-phone towers may cause physical harms. The team has submitted a detailed report on this to the central government.
The report also records that the recent research report of WHO, conducted between 2000- 2011 (31st May) has also confirmed the same.
All countries using cell-phones have taken the 5 most important medical prevention checks to ensure that there will be no physical harms. These preventive steps ensure that there are no harmful effects from the radiation.
IMRC is set to undertake more research on the aspects of likely physical harms such as heart problems, impotency, sleeplessness, etc caused by radiation.
