Bank Holidays increased!

It has been announced that the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of every month will be holidays for the banks.
The banks have announced that the banks will work full day on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of every month.
This decision was taken following the discussions between Banks� Association & the Bank Employees� Unions Association.
The General Secretary of the Banks� Association, Mr. Venkatachalam, informed that the news has been forwarded to the Reserve Bank of India.
After the RBI approval, this system will come into effect.
Following the request from the Banks� Association to work only 5 days in a week, the action has been taken to declare that the 2nd & 4th Saturday of every month will be holidays.
Apart from this, the banks won�t function on Sundays and other National holidays as usual.
