Bank employees to go on strike from 25th February for 4 days demanding salary revision!

Bank employees have announced their plans to go on 4 days� strike from 25th February on an All-India basis.

Bank employees unions have been organising protests that their various demands including wage revision should be passed. As there was some progress in the recent discussions, the unions postponed their plans to go on strike for 4 days from 21st January till 24th January.

However, sine no agreement was reached after the discussions,the employees unions have now announced their plans to go on strike for 4 days from 25th February till 28th February. This has been informed to the Indian Banks Association and the Ministry of Finance.

In case no settlement is reached by 16th March on their demands, the unions have announced their plans to go on an indefinite strike from 16th March.

The bank employees unions have indicated that the 4 days strike in February would be quite intensive which will greatly affect the functioning of the banks which would put the customers and investors to extreme hardships.

Meanwhile, banks have announced their plans to function during the strike period with minimum disturbance to the service.

If the strike happens, there is a possibility that the banks may not functioning during the coming budget session!

As 1st March happens to be a Sunday, there is a possibility of the banks not functioning for 5 successive days.
