Matriculation schools: Permit will be cancelled for distribution of admission forms before April!

The Director for Matriculation schools, Mr. R. Pichai, has issued a stern warning to all private schools not to distribute admission forms before 4th April. Serious action will be taken by cancelling the licence to run the schools which do not follow this order.
The state government had announced 2 years ago that admission forms should not be issued in advance in order to ensure that 25% reservations is followed by these schools as per RTE (Right To Education) rule.
The licence for the schools which issue admission forms before 4th April will be cancelled. So far, the complaint has been received regarding only one school. The school had already been informed not to do this. However, officials would be visiting the school to gather more details on this.
