Smart Windows Keep out Sunlight

New �smart windows� is being developed by scientists. This is said to prevent heat when the temperature increases.
American Chemical Society in its journal has reported that this new technology of smart windows that automatically react to light, gas, electricity and heat is under research. When this comes to use, this will be a big help to consumers to save electricity and reduce their bills.
When the outside temperature rises, the windows will automatically turn opaque white thereby preventing unwanted heat from entering the system. At the same time, it allows light inside so that inmates enjoy the light but need not suffer the heat.
The present technology use hydrogels (jelly like materials) which slogs down the overall performance. Scientists, particularly researchers from China, wanted to rectify this and find an alternative method to eliminate the use of these hydrogels. They experimented with an advanced version of these hydrogels in the form of microscopic soft beads and applied it between the two glass pieces for testing which successfully kept the house cool.
