Hike in production tax of petrol and diesel
Central government hiked the production tax of petrol and diesel. Petrol is increased by Rs 2.25 and diesel by Rs 1 in its production tax.
Following a hike in price of petrol by Rs 1.50 last month, the same is again set to happen now. Though the production tax is hiked, there will be no change in price of the fuel, say sources.
