Skype withdraws mobile and landline calling services in India
Skype marks an end to its mobile and landline calling service in India as the giant has plans to withdraw its service from November 10, 2014. The company has not come forward with a reason, though.
Those who will get affected by this withdrawal will get refunded. Users are eligible to get the refund if their subscription is not expired and kept unused.
Skype however will be of use in making Skype to Skype calls within India.
As a note of announcement, Skype stated in its official website requesting Indian subscribers to cancel their subscription in order to avoid getting billed in future. Cancellation of subscription can be done by cancelling recurring payments. For instance: if a customer has a 3-months subscription and chooses to cancel it, it will then remain active for a time period of 3 months.
