Freebies distribution
Tamil Nadu State government proposes to distribute free wet grinders, table fans and mixies to 90 lakh rice-drawing family card holders during 2014-15 and 2015-16.
A sum of Rs. 2,000 crore has been set apart for the current year.So far, 95 lakh beneficiaries have been covered since 2011-12.
At a meeting held with senior officials, Information and Special Programme Implementation Minister K. T. Rajenthra Bhalaji urged them to complete the distribution expeditiously.
