Plans to carry vehicles from Chennai to Delhi via sea route

The ministry of shipping in India has come up with a new plan to carry vehicles from Chennai to Delhi. According to this, the newly manufactured vehicles will be taken to Gujarat through sea routes which will further be taken to Delhi using roadways. This is expected to reduce the overall consumption of fuel and promote transportation via sea routes. Speaking to one of the officials at the shipping department, he says the department is being instructed to sort out the possibilities of carrying manufactured vehicles from southern part of India to Gujarat.
