TamilNadu received rainfall widely, because of the convection. Also, there is a possibility of rainfall in few places today, informed by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Institute.
Below is the
rainfall measure recorded by the meteorological department yesterday, till
morning 8.30 am -
A maximum of
13cm rainfall has been recorded in Oothangarai, Krishnagiri district. In the
next level, about 10cm rainfall has been evidenced in Chathirapatti, Dindukal
district. Also nearly 5cm rainfall was witnessed in Trichy town, Kalakurichi,
Villupuram district, and Krishnagiri district each.
In Annur,
Coimbatore district; Izuppur, Pudukkotai district; Sangarapuram, Villupuram
district; and Trichy airport receives 3cm rainfall.
Pendagaram in
Krishnagiri district; Bobyreddy Petty, Pennagaram, Dharmapuri in Dharmapuri
district; Mettur, Yerkadu in Salem District; receives 2cm rainfall each.
Also,
widespread rainfall has been observed across Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Vellore,
Tirupur, Thiruvanamalai, Nilagiri districts.
Due to convection alone, TamilNadu receives rainfall. Probable rainfall will be observed today in few districts over TamilNadu. Cloud mist will be glimpsed across Chennai, stated officers of the Chennai Regional Meteorological department.
