Summer rain for more days in Tamil Nadu and Kerela

The days and nights in Tamil Nadu show no pity on the fellow people. While the day is evoked with burning sun, the night times are sultry with humidity in the air! Why don�t it rain, long people from parts of the state, especially those without air conditioned rooms or coolers to maintain the surrounding temperature. And why not, say the meteorological department officials.
Having been saying about poor chances of rainfall in Chennai, the meteorological department here has now come up with a cool info that the city may receive summer rain for extended days. There have been showers in various parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala because of convection in the past week. Day before yesterday, there was a report that the summer rain would end within one more day, but now, increased pressure in the air, it is now said that the states may expect summer rainfall for few more days.
According to reports generated yesterday morning, there was 3 cm rainfall in Theni - Periakulam, Dharmapuri � Marakanahalli; 2 cm rain in Dharmapuri � Okanakal, Kanyakumari � Kuzhithurai, and 1 cm in Erode � Thaalavadi, Kanyakumari � Thakkalai, Nilgiris � Ooty, Theni � Bodi.
