+2 exams are just over. Deemed universities have commenced work on admission for engineering & medical courses in full swing.
+2 exams started on 3rd March
& got completed on 25th April. About 8,45,000 students have
written the exams. Most of the students are likely to be interested in joining
engineering or medical courses.
There are 570 engineering
colleges in Tamil Nadu. 2,00,000 seats are filled up by counselling. With the
increased number of seats available, it is certain to get admission even if
there are no seats in the Arts & Sciences Courses!
In the private
engineering colleges, 65% seats are filled up on open counselling. Some minority colleges based on religion or language offer 50% seats with the other
50% reserved for their preference.
The committee headed by
Justice N. V. Balasubramanian is expected to release the rules, regulations, and
recommendations shortly. Admission process has commenced on full swing in the
deemed universities.
Entrance test
Deemed universities such as Chettinad University & SRM university has released the details of the courses on offer. Admissions will be based on entrance test. Anna University will begin release of applications for engineering courses on the 1st week of May. Other colleges will follow.
