Geographical Information System in TamilNadu:CM J Jayalalitha
In the several departments in TamilNadu Government, to take up the department related decisions, earth related information is very necessary. Presently, all the departments are using software�s to get the geographical information. For this, till now there is no general configuration and quality available in hand. To handle this, the Chief Minister has ordered for setting a Geographical Information Center in TamilNadu.
Hence, through this center, a proper configuration and usage will be
availed by the public. This geographical information center assists in sharing
the information between organizations in all districts. Since it acts as a
common configuration for the entire department, government will be in no need
of framing the configuration centers separately.
Through this facility, the government department can download the needed
images from the net. This act as a tool for planning and monitoring various
public service plans. This setting will furnish in two steps. First in the head
office and the next comes in the district level.
TamilNadu Chief Minister has ordered to frame out the first level
geographical information center at the cost of Rs. 1, 32, 80, 000. Also the
chief minister Jayalalitha is showing high interest in small scale business
developments which in turn improves the financial development of the nation.
