To cater to increased demand during the festive season of Christmas and New Year Indian Railways have decided to run special air conditioned trains.Under dynamic fare system , tariff will be determined by the demand with an aim of boosting its revenues.
The premier AC special trains will have only AC-2 and AC-3 classes with Rajdhani Express like facilities including catering.Launched on an experimental basis, the premium AC train would take four trips between December 24 to January 2 on the busy Delhi-Mumbai route.
The advance reservation period for this train will be 15 days only and the fare shall be equal to or higher than the Rajdhani Tatkal fare to begin with.The booking for the AC special trains shall be available only through IRCTC portal and not through the counters at reservation centres.
Features:The premier AC special trains will have only AC-2 and AC-3 classes with Rajdhani like facility including catering. There shall be only two classes of travel accommodation, viz. AC 3Tier and AC 2Tier.Advance Reservation Period (ARP)of this train will bea maximum of 15 days.Waitlist Ticket Booking is not allowed in this train.Only E-tickets will be permitted for booking.I-ticket Booking is not allowed in this train.Tatkal/ Ladies/Other Quota tickets cannot be booked in this train.
The menu and tariff of the catering services will be similar to other Rajdhani Trains. Dynamic Fare along with Total fare will be displayed after filling Reservation form. Users must ensure the Fare and Journey Details before proceeding for payment.
