Aruthra Darisanam function - Chidambaram Natarajar Temple

�Aruthra Darisanam� festival was celebrated in the world famous Chidambaram Natarajan Temple yesterday.
For this year, the Margazhi month �Aruthra Darisanam� function was commenced with the intimation of flag hoisting on 9th of last month in Chidambaram Natarajar Temple. On behalf of the function various events like Spatikam Lingam; special anointing and worships are organized for the God Rathina sapapathy for both in morning and evening; PanchaMoorthy�s procession in the streets; view of Manikavasagar to Natarajar; departure of Picchandavar and so on.
In early morning around 4 A.M, a special grand anointing was conducted. Around 6 A.M in the morning, Thiruvabarana decoration display and around 10P.M in Chitra Sabhai, a special secret pooja was conducted. As a continuation of Aruthra Darisanam function, today (Thursday) PanchaMoorthi was carried in MuthuPallaku around the streets for the view of devotees (veedhi ula) and tomorrow (Friday), thepaa-ursavam was going to be conducted in GanaPrakasa pond. With the end of this event on Friday, the Margazhi month Aruthra Darisanam function will get completed.
