TNEA 2026: Over 2.58 Lakh Students Apply for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions

The registration process for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2026 is witnessing a huge response from students across the state. As of May 26, a total of 2,58,158 students have paid the application fee online for engineering counselling under the government quota.

According to official data, more than 6,362 students completed the registration process on May 26 alone. The online application process for BE and BTech admissions in government and private engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu began on May 3.

So far, 20,346 applications have been verified successfully. In addition, 1,87,683 students have uploaded their required documents, while 1,49,224 students have completed certificate verification.

The TNEA 2026 counselling process is expected to begin soon for admissions into engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu.
