TN Public Exam 2026 Schedule Released - Class 12 & 10 Exam Dates Here!!
The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has officially announced the TN Board Public Exam 2026 schedule for Classes 10 and 12. School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi confirmed that the annual public examinations will be conducted in March and April 2026 with new procedural updates.

Class 12 (Higher Secondary) Exams: March 2 to March 26, 2026
Class 10 (SSLC) Exams: March 11 to April 4, 2026
Class 11 (Arrear) Exams: March 3 to March 27, 2026
Practical Exam Schedule
Class 12 Practical Exams: February 9 to February 14, 2026
Class 11 (Arrear) Practical Exams: February 18 to February 21, 2026
Class 10 Practical Exams: February 23 to February 28, 2026
Number of Students Appearing
Class 12: 8.27 lakh students
Class 11 (Arrear): 25,051 students
Class 10: 9 lakh students
Thousands of exam centres have been set up across Tamil Nadu to ensure smooth conduct of examinations. Around 49,000 teachers will be deployed daily, and special flying squads will monitor to prevent malpractice.
New Changes for TN Board Exams 2026
- A4-size logarithmic tables for select subjects
- Non-programmable calculators allowed for Accountancy
- Sealing of unused question papers inside exam halls
- Special arrangements for differently-abled candidates
- Aadhaar verification for private candidates
